World of Outlaws Late Model Series
Hits Cayuga Co. Fair Speedway
Weedsport, NY - June 13, 2007 - By Tom Skibinski, DIRTcar Racing
NorthEast PR Director

Last year's inaugural World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Cayuga
County Fair Speedway was spectacular. What will the return engagement be
like on Sunday June 24?
A standing-room-only crowd turned out in 2006 when the nation's premier
dirt Late Model tour invaded the Weedsport, N.Y., oval for the first
time, and they weren't disappointed with what they saw. Bear Lake, Pa.'s
Chub Frank - a hard-nosed veteran star known as 'Chubzilla' - made a
stirring drive through the pack, passing cars at will en route to a
$10,000 victory in the 50-lap showdown.
Chub will lead the Outlaws back to Cayuga County on Sun., June 24, for a
show that fans will certainly not want to miss. That evening will mark
the only time this season that the World of Outlaws Late Model Series
will bring its unique brand of full-fender, on-the-gas, high-torque,
chassis-twisting dirt-track action to central New York.
Some of the biggest, most talented names in national dirt Late Model
racing will make Cayuga County one of their stops on this season's huge
50-date, 23-state World of Outlaws tour. Drivers expected include points
leader Clint ('Cat Daddy') Smith of Senoia Ga.; Rick ('Scrub') Eckert of
York, Pa.; Steve ('Kentucky Colonel') Francis of Ashland, Ky.; Shane
('Coconut') Clanton of Locust Grove, Ga.; Chris ('Smokey') Madden of
Gray Court, S.C.; Josh ('Kid Rocket') Richards of Shinnston, W.Va.;
Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky.; Eddie Carrier Jr. of Salt Rock, W.Va.;
and Brian Birkhofer of Muscatine, Iowa.
Cayuga County's regular DIRTcar Big-Block Modified fans will have
several familiar faces to follow in the event. Reigning World of Outlaws
Late Model Series champion Tim McCreadie of Watertown, N.Y., is making
plans to drive his Sweeteners Plus Late Model at Cayuga County, as is
2007 WoO LMS Rookie of the Year contenders Tim Fuller of Watertown,
N.Y., ---who copped his first WoO LMS main on Tuesday--- Billy Decker of
Unadilla, N.Y., and Leicester, N.Y.'s Vic Coffey.
Sun., June 24 - it's the only chance central New York fans will have to
see the World of Outlaws Late Model Series battle in their backyard this
season. Joining the 7 p.m. card will be the BRP CanAm Series Late Models
and Cayuga County's own UMP/DIRTcar Street Stocks.
For ticket information, please contact the DIRTcar Racing NorthEast

the village of Weedsport on Route 31 and the track can be accessed
