DIRTcar Racing Licenses Mandatory To Collect NorthEast Circuit Awards
Weedsport, NY – May 21, 2007 - By Tom Skibinski, DIRTcar Racing NorthEast PR Director
A reminder to all racers and team members competing on the DIRTcar NorthEast circuit that DIRT Licenses must be owned to collect awards posted for Big-Block Modified, 358-Modified, Sportsman Modified, Pro Stock and Street Stock divisions in 2007.
“In the past a driver was required to purchase a DIRT License by July to be eligible for any championship series or member track money handed out at season’s end,” said Gary Spaid, DIRTcar NE handicapper and chief points keeper. "With the DIRT regional point chases already underway, it’s now mandatory that licenses be bought at the start of the season to insure contending drivers can use all their best finishes towards these same awards programs.”
An Official Licensing Application remains available on-line. For DIRTcar Racing NorthEast teams, the required form can be printed from the website (www.superdirtcarseries.com) by selecting ‘DOWNLOAD’ from the list on top of the home page and clicking the ‘2007 Membership Application’ option. The DIRTcar Licensing Department will make every effort to complete the process within a week of an application being approved.
Benefits of an official DIRTcar NorthEast Membership in 2007 include: reduced pit admission at all DIRT NE-sanctioned events, substantial savings on Super DIRT Week XXXVI pit admission, automatic eligibility to earn bonus points and share in major series point fund awards, instant $50,000 insurance coverage, receipt of a free DIRT rulebook and up-to-date mailings. A DIRT NE Membership can be purchased in U.S. funds for $125 (Big-Block Modified/358-Modified combined) or $100 (Sportsman), while the cost of a DIRT Associate Membership is $100. Full-fender DIRT Licenses are $75 for Pro Stock, Street Stock, Pure Stock, 4-Cylinder Stock/Enduro/BattleKarz as well as Mod Lites.
