Sprint Challenge at Rolling Wheels Cancelled Due to Rain

Syracuse, NY- The wet conditions experienced by the entire eastern seaboard this weekend failed to miss the Rolling Wheels Raceway Park, and because of it, the PSG/ESS/URC Challenge Race has be cancelled.

Drivers will not have an opportunity to go after the $3,000-to-win prize that was posted for this event during Super DIRT Week with the event not being rescheduled. The means that the Empire Super Sprint Season is complete, but the Patriots continue on for two more weeks. On Saturday, October 15, the Patriot Sprint Group will invade the Utica-Rome Speedway for the first time as part of the Pumpkin Pie Weekend at the slick half-mile. Bryan Howland leads by 76 points over Chuck Hebing with just two races remaining in pursuit to see who will be the third champion in as many years with the Bobcat of Buffalo Patriot Sprint Group presented by Tom Neamon/ MAC Tools. Defending Champion George Suprick is expected to be in competition in the Bud Burlew-Owned No. 28 for the first time. Racing will get under way at 2:00 pm with gates opening at Noon.
